Submissions

RANLP 2027 will have two submission cycles: Cycle 1 (paper deadline 25 March 2027) and Cycle 2 (paper deadline 25 May 2027). All deadlines are 23:59 Anywhere on Earth (AoE).

Submission Cycle 1

  • Abstract submission deadline: 15 March 2027
  • Paper submission deadline: 25 March 2027
  • Notification of decisions: 1 May 2027

Revised versions of papers rejected in Cycle 1 may be submitted in Cycle 2, giving authors the opportunity to improve their papers by taking the reviewers’ comments into account.

Authors who can prepare their work in time are encouraged to submit in Cycle 1.

An earlier decision also leaves more time for authors who need to apply for a Schengen visa. Receiving a Schengen visa may take up to two months.

Submission Cycle 2

  • Abstract submission deadline: 15 May 2027
  • Paper submission deadline: 25 May 2027
  • Notification of decisions: 1 July 2027

See the conference site for more details.

Submission categories

Both submission cycles will accept the following categories of submissions: regular papers (up to 8 pages), short papers (up to 6 pages), and poster and demo papers (up to 4 pages). Page limits do not include references.

Short papers will be allocated less presentation time, while poster and demo papers will be presented in poster sessions. However, all paper categories will have equal status in the conference proceedings.

At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference and present the paper in Varna.

Further details on submission templates and the submission platform will be provided in the second Call for Papers, expected in December 2026.

Multiple Submission Policy

Papers submitted to RANLP must not be under review at, or accepted by, any other conference, workshop or journal at the same time. Likewise, a paper may not be submitted elsewhere while it is under review at RANLP. Authors who wish to submit their work to another venue must first withdraw it from RANLP before the reviewing process starts. Submissions that violate this policy will be rejected without review, or removed from the programme if already accepted.
